I am the proud founder of Shelby Brown Media Solutions, LLC and The Story Café, LLC. As a veteran television news journalist, I have been blessed to spend the better part of three decades meeting people and telling their stories from Virginia, down the East Coast and into the Southern part of the United States.

I’m the storyteller-in chief at SBMS and look forward to connecting with you, your small business or nonprofit organization to share with the world your story. Your “why”!

Telling stories is my passion and I have especially loved producing those that have changed lives and saved lives. I am proud of the work I’ve been able to do such as helping a homeless veteran find housing, getting employees their paychecks, exposing a multi-million-dollar Ponzi scheme at a Virginia church that left a multitude of victims in its wake, ultimately landing the criminals in federal prison.  Also, assisting a local teacher who became paralyzed while teaching in Thailand get back to the United States for medical treatment drew the attention and involvement of a United States senator who, after my report stepped in to help.

With a proven track record of helping citizens in Central Virginia through my reporting, I am humbled that my work has been recognized by the Associated Press as well as local jurisdictions, public service organizations, nonprofits, churches and area school systems.
